Product description

This Titanic White Star Line collectible coin showcases the legendary ocean liner with its four iconic smokestacks on one side and detailed historical voyage information on the reverse. The gold-plated finish and dual-sided design with ship specifications, maiden voyage details, and tragedy statistics make this a comprehensive tribute to the world's most famous maritime disaster for Titanic enthusiasts and maritime history collectors. This piece is a historical commemorative collectible coin designed for display and collection.

About the Design

The RMS Titanic was a British passenger liner operated by the White Star Line that sank on April 15, 1912, after striking an iceberg during her maiden voyage from Southampton to New York City. At 882.9 feet long and 92.6 feet wide, the Titanic was the largest ship afloat at the time and was considered "unsinkable" due to its advanced safety features. The ship departed on April 10, 1912, carrying 2,223 passengers and crew, but had lifeboat capacity for only 1,178 people. When the ship struck an iceberg at 11:40 PM on April 14, it sank in less than three hours, claiming over 1,500 lives with only 705 survivors. The obverse of this coin features the majestic Titanic with "WHITE STAR LINE" and "The World's Largest Liner" inscriptions, while the reverse displays comprehensive voyage statistics and a detailed interior deck scene. This coin serves as both a memorial to those lost and a celebration of early 20th-century maritime engineering.
